Marie Carmela Culcasi (Ratoni), a lifetime resident of the Sacramento area, passed away Saturday, February 28 at the age of 72.

Marie (Ratoni) was born in Sacramento, California on May 20, 1942, the second of two daughters to Ralpha Calora. She graduated from McClatchy High School in 1960 and married Peter Culcasi two years later - with the couple having just celebrated their 53rd anniversary last month.

Marie is survived by husband Peter, sons Brian and Kevin (Kristin) and four grandchildren: Timothy, Nathan, Carmela and Evan.

A memorial service will be held at the chapel at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks on Saturday, March 21 at 1:00pm.
